Chris Pendl Writes About Online Scheduling for Broadcast Operations

BONNEVILLE/SEATTLE Creative Dir. CHRIS PENDL is blogging about "New (and Recycled) Ideas on Broadcast Media" at his website "Old Radio, New Tricks," and his latest post suggests using online scheduling applications to help save time scheduling employees and contractors.
PENDL writes, "Seriously consider how much time goes into not only making your schedules, but also communicating, reminding, and managing availabilities. Think about how many times you've heard 'Oh, I read the schedule wrong, or 'I forgot I was working'? How much does that cost your business? How much does it affect your day? While no piece of software can remove these excuses completely, my bet is that you'll hear a lot less of it." The post also links to a roundup of options at TopTenReviews.com.
