WKHX Morning Show Pulls Prank On Brad Paisley
April 18, 2013 at 1:42 PM (PT)
CUMULUS MEDIA WKHX (KICKS 101-5)/ATLANTA morning show personalities CADILLAC and DALLAS recently played a prank on ARISTA NASHVILLE artist BRAD PAISLEY.
Prior to BRAD’s visit to the station, CADILLAC made a fake entry on the KIMBERLY WILLIAMS-PAISLEY (BRAD's wife) WIKIPEDIA page, announcing that he had been tapped for a five-episode guest-starring role on the ABC-TV drama, "Nashville." One of the episodes would feature a love scene between himself and KIMBERLY, that would "push the TV envelope, due to the graphic sexual nature of the scene."
Within three hours of realizing the prank, PAISLEY retaliated with a prank of his own. With the help of CUMULUS SVP/Programming MIKE McVAY and CUMULUS ATLANTA Operations Dir. ROB ROBERTS, he pursued (fake) legal action against CADILLAC for defamation of his wife’s character. McVAY and ROBERTS left several urgent messages for CADILLAC to that effect, referencing a ficticious NASHVILLE law firm. BRAD then also made a fake entry on his wife’s WIKIPEDIA page that reported a restraining order that had been placed against CADILLAC due to "his obsession with the actress’ husband (BRAD)." The entry went on to say "WILLIAMS-PAISLEY has testified on record saying that the delusional DJ has also shown up at a BRAD PAISLEY concert wearing nothing but a SPEEDO, beanie with a propeller on top, and was lathered in HELLMAN’s mayonnaise."
Incidentally, PAISLEY told the morning duo that was the best radio prank anyone had ever pulled on him in his career. Learn more about BRAD PAISLEY at www.BradPaisley.com and CADILLAC and DALLAS at www.wkhx.com.
