Wells Fargo Analyst Marci Ryvicker Sees A Stronger March And April For Radio
April 23, 2013 at 3:59 AM (PT)
WELLS FARGO SECURITIES analyst MARCI RYVICKER writes in her most recent client note that "Radio started 2013 rather soft and picked up a bit in MARCH and APRIL."
The first two months of 2013 were down compared to 2012, finds her research, but things are looking up since. She notes, "We do believe that MARCH ended in positive territory, with upward trends continuing in APRIL."
As companies begin to report their latest financials, RYVICKER expects "the focus of the first-quarter calls will likely be cost control," and we can expect to learn about "the impact of various format changes." She also expects more details to emerge about chip-carrying wireless phones carrying FM signals, and is following the progress of the Country format on CUMULUS WNSH(NASH-FM)/NEW YORK.
RYVICKER adds that TV trends seem "fine," and Outdoor has some questions.
