KPLZ's Kent & Alan Celebrate 20 Years

FISHER RADIO Hot AC KPLZ (STAR 101.5)/SEATTLE's morning drive duo KENT & ALAN are celebrating their "20th YEAR ON THE AIR" as SEATTLE's longest running morning show on one station.
KENT PHILLIPS & ALAN BUDWILL first worked together at KMJK/PORTLAND, OR in 1982 before moving to the morning drive-time at KPLZ. KENT PHILLIPS can also be seen in the afternoons on sister KOMO-TV, a position which he has held since the mid-90's. Over the years, the morning drive team has been honored with numerous rewards including "BEST MORNING SHOW" from PUGET SOUND RADIO BROADCASTERS. PHILLIP'S has also received several local and national awards for news and documentaries, as well as an EMMY.
The morning duo's commitment to the community includes "BRA'S ACROSS LAKE WASHINGTON" to raise awareness of breast cancer, "CITY OF HOPE'S WALK FOR HOPE," reuniting transplant patients with donor families, "BIKES FOR KIDS, and THE HUMANE SOCIETY'S "PET OF THE WEEK" program. Memorable segments heard on the KENT & ALAN morning show include their annual "WEINER DOG RACES," "ROLLER COASTER WEDDING," and "THE WORLD'S LARGEST BLIND DATE."
