WOKV/Jacksonville FM Simulcast Moves To 104.5

The stunting is over on COX MEDIA GROUP Rock WFYV (ROCK 104.5)/JACKSONVILLE, and the wheel of formats stopped on ... Talk, specifically a simulcast of sister Talk WOKV-A, which moves to the 104.5 FM signal from the lower-powered 106.5 FM signal it has occupied since 2006.

“Our listeners told us loud and clear that we needed more power”, said PD MIKE DORWART. “Moving to 104.5 FM means that, for the first time ever, our listeners can hear WOKV everywhere in northeast FLORIDA, any time they want ... The most noticeable improvement will be heard by listeners in BAKER, CLAY, ST. JOHNS and NASSAU counties. They now have full coverage from WOKV, 24/7, on 104.5 FM.”

WOKV will briefly continue simulcasting on 106.5 to transition listeners to the new frequency.  The programming will also continue on 690 AM.
