WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT 2013 is in the books and it was a terrific record-setting turnout of just over 400 radio execs, programmers, social/digital and music industry execs this past weekend at the HOTEL ROOSEVELT in HOLLYWOOD, MAY 2nd-4th.
ALL ACCESS co-Founder, President & Publisher JOEL DENVER remarked, "My sincerest thanks to everyone who attended, and to our many sponsors for their support. I also want to extend big thanks to WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT partner SAT BISLA and his outstanding A&R WORLDWIDE staff, and to my entire ALL ACCESS staff for superb execution and follow-through leading up to and during the event.
"Everyone enjoyed the sessions and the opportunity to learn, grow and share ideas with each other to keep radio moving forward in a positive and winning direction -- as well as the socializing/networking. We are going to take your feedback and ideas and put together another world-class agenda, packed with innovative thought leaders and cutting edge content and ideas for 2014, so that the WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT keeps growing."
A&R WORLDWIDE Founder & President SAT BISLA noted, "The 3rd Annual WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT has been a very inspiring dialog for those committed to the positive growth and evolution of all things radio -- the world's greatest communicator of sound. The WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT is the only independent radio gathering in NORTH AMERICA that thinks local but acts global.
"We look forward to enhancing the 2014 event into an even more inspiring and meaningful event. My entire team at A&R WORLDWIDE and I thank our partners JOEL DENVER and his fantastic team at ALLACCESS.COM, and all of our delegates, speakers, sponsors and artists for being one community as part of the WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT this year. I very much look forward to our 2014 event."
Laughter Ruled The Worldwide Radio Summit Industry Awards
One of the highlights of the event was the WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT INDUSTRY AWARDS LUNCHEON held on SATURDAY (5/2). It was hosted this year by YEA NETWORK syndicated CCM+E KHKS/DALLAS morning icon KIDD KRADDICK and YEA NETWORK syndicated CUMULUS WWWQ (Q100)/ATLANTA morning star BERT WEISS.
The pair took a GOLDEN GLOBES approach to the awards and poked some fun and made the entire luncheon a highly entertaining, and laugh-filled ceremony that moved right along.
The 2013 WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT INDUSTRY AWARDS were 100% decided by you! Back in JANUARY you nominated your favorites, and then in FEBRUARY we posted your Top 5 nominations, Domestic and International in 33 categories -- and you voted for the winners. ALL ACCESS & A&R WORLDWIDE want to congratulate all of our winners, who are bolded -- and here they are:
