ENVISION RADIO NETWORKS’ The Chop Shop is celebrating its 10th Season by incorporating new features within the two-hour weekly show including an Unplugged segment, counting down the top 50 songs of the last 10 years, and taking The Chop Shop out on the road.
The Chop Shop will now give listeners the chance to experience the guitar in its most raw form, unplugged and live, by featuring a new exclusive acoustic song from host STEVE BLACK's giant music library each week. "I've collected so many acoustic songs along the way, from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and METALLICA, to BILLY IDOL and the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, and I'm looking forward to sharing them all," BLACK said.
This summer, "The Chop Shop on the Road" will broadcast live from some of rock’s biggest festivals including ROCK ON THE RANGE, SHIPROCKED and METALLICA's ORION FESTIVAL. BLACk will be on the scene gathering exclusive on-site interviews for these live shows and future updates.
"During my 24 years on the radio, I've been able to conduct a little over 900 interviews, so the archive of first-hand information, especially about specific songs, has really gotten deep," he said. "Taking the Chop Shop on the road will allow our audience to really feel what it’s like to be back-stage with all the bands."
