The previously undisclosed price for the purchase of six MUNCIE, IN-area stations and an FM translator from BACKYARD BROADCASTING by WOOF BOOM RADIO is $4.45 million plus a time brokerage agreement before closing, according to the contract filed with the FCC. WOOF BOOM, headed by former EMMIS and MAVERICK MEDIA executive JERRY "J" CHAPMAN with CONORMARA INVESTMENTS' RAY KENNEDY, WESTBRIDGE INVESTMENTS' JASON FARMER, and AARON REITZ, is getting Hot AC WLBC, Sports WXFN-A, and Oldies WERK/MUNCIE, IN; Talk WHBU-A/ANDERSON, IN; and Classic Rock simulcast WMXQ/HARTFORD CITY, IN-WMQX/ALEXANDRIA, IN, plus FM translator W275AJ/MUNCIE, in the deal.
VIC MICHAEL's KONA COAST RADIO, LLC is selling Silent KAZZ/SUGAR CITY, ID to M. KENT FRANDSEN's FRANDSEN MEDIA CO., LLC for $30,000.
BIBLE BROADCASTING NETWORK, INC. has requested a Silent STA for FM translator K220FS/GRAND ISLAND, NE due to the sign-on of a full power FM station.
A.C.T.I.O.N., INC. has applied for a Silent STA for WRAR-A/TAPPAHANNOCK, VA "due to financial circumstances."
And in a deal not yet filed with the FCC, the FARGO FORUM reports that JAMES D. INGSTAD and MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS will swap a pair of FARGO stations they just bought, with INGSTAD's RADIO FARGO-MOORHEAD trading Country KVOX-F (FROGGY 99.9), just acquired from L&L BROADCASTING as a spinoff from its deal to buy TRIAD BROADCASTING, to MIDWEST for Country KBVB (BOB 95.1), which it acquired from INGSTAD.
