Candice Glover Is This Year's 'American Idol'

CANDICE GLOVER, a 23-year old from ST. HELENA ISLAND, SC has been crowned the new "American Idol" after defeating country singer KREE HARRISON.
Last night's show was also the last one for longtime judge RANDY JACKSON, who bid farewell during the 12th season finale. "I love everybody that walked on this show," said JACKSON. "Hopefully, I touched their lives a little bit. They certainly touched mine."
Former "Idol" finalist JENNIFER HUDSON made a return appearance, singing a duet of NATALIE COLE's "Inseparable" with GLOVER. Other stars on the show included PSY, FRANKIE VALLI, EMELI SANDE, JESSIE J and ARETHA FRANKLIN. Current "Idol" judges KEITH URBAN and MARIAH CAREY also performed.
Runnerup KREE HARRISON, from WOODVILLE, TX, sang SARAH MCLAUGHLAN's "Angel," PATTY GRIFFIN's "Up to the Mountain" and potential future single "All Cried Out."
NICKI MINAJ, who is rumored to be leaving the show along with URBAN and CAREY, commented on HARRISON's performance, saying "I think all three of your performances showcased your beautiful voice and your beautiful soul."
