Speculation Centers On Michelle Connolly For Open FCC Seat

Speculation on who will be nominated for the open Republican seat on the FCC is centering on DUKE Professor and former FCC Chief Economist MICHELLE CONNOLLY, with POLITICO's TONY ROMM citing "four industry sources" saying that CONNOLLY is "considered a strong candidate to win Republicans’ blessings for the empty seat once held by Commissioner ROBERT MCDOWELL."
Others in the running include former SCRIPPS NETWORKS INTERACTIVE, INC. Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary A.B. CRUZ, RAY BAUM (senior policy adviser to Rep, GREG WALDEN (R-OR)), and NEIL FRIED, Senior Telecommunications Counsel to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
