The agenda for the 38th annual CONCLAVE LEARNING CONFERENCE (JULY 17th-19th, 2013) has been released by CONCLAVE Exec. Dir. BOB SHANNON who said, "There's never been a more exciting time in media and CONCLAVE 38's agenda hits all the buttons -- social, digital, mobile -- plus how to grow talent, how to ask for what you want, and a whole day devoted to sports."

The JACOBS MEDIA Summer School kicks off THE LEARNING CONFERENCE for the fourth year in row on WEDNESDAY, JULY 17th with 10 targeted sessions from social media, to talent development, to radio connectivity and mobile, to one on ones with great programming minds of JAYE ALBRIGHT and DAVE HAMILTON.
On THURSDAY, JULY 18th, THE LEARNING CONFERENCE presents a myriad of sessions from the digital dashboard with ARBITRON’s ED COHEN, PPM Secrets to find revenue sources from ROI MEDIA SOLUTIONS MARK SHANNON, talent coach RANDY LANE will focus on developing the personality brand, former COO of AMERICAN EXPRESS JOHN BAKER on Asking what You Want and Getting It.
THURSDAY afternoon RANDY BACHMAN of THE GUESS WHO and BACHMAN TURNER OVERDRIVE will give his behind-the-scenes stories into the life of a rock and roll legend, industry consultant WALTER SABO will review media’s past, present and future, IVAN BRAKER from HIPCRICKET will show how mobile content today is building user tribes, and DRAKE DONOVAN from SPLICE VIDEO shows how video can enhance your brand. A programming super session "Programming Ideas The Pass The Test Of Time" will feature industry notables JOHN GEHRON/ACCURADIO.COM; LARRY ROSIN/EDISON RESEARCH; JERRY BOULDING/ALL ACCESS MUSIC GROUP; JOEL FOLGER/ FOLGER MEDIA; KEVIN METHENYWJR/DETROIT; and JOEL DENVER/ALL ACCESS MUSIC GROUP.
THE CONCLAVE has a full day on FRIDAY, JULY 19th with CONCLAVE Gameday, a day devoted entirely to sports that ends with a reception at KTWN’s studio just before the MINNESOTA TWINS/CLEVELAND INDIANS game at TARGET FIELD, home of the 2014 All Star Game.
Featured during GAMEDAY will be JON CHELESNIK/CEO, SPORTSCASTERS TALENT AGENCY OF AMERICA on The 11 Fundamentals of Great Sports Talk Radio Shows for those aspiring to a career as a sportscaster or talker, "FRIDAY Night Lights" with DANNO WOLKOFF/President, ENVISION RADIO NETWORK and ROGER UTNEHMER/DOOR COUNTY BROADCASTERS with a winning strategy that makes high school and college sports hyper local and highly profitable. KIPPER MCGEE and MICHAEL STEELE Program Director, KTWN/MINNEAPOLIS on ideas music programmers can use to accentuate their sports positions.
FRIDAY afternoon sessions include "Looking At Facial Recognition" with DAN HILL President, SENSORY LOGIC whose company has done testing for over 40% of the top 100 marketing companies in the world and, applied the science of facing coding research to sports team, both pro and college and before heading out to the ballpark wrapping up with ALAN HORTON, the voice of the MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES and the 2011 champion MINNESOTA LYNX of the WNBA, on how to do play by play, how learning to sell is part of the challenge and why it’s all media now and not just radio.
Also held FRIDAY at noon is THE CONCLAVE ROCKWELL AWARD LUNCH, this year honoring JAYE ALBRIGHT Partner at ALBRIGHT, O’MALLEY AND BRENNER, and TOM KAY Exec. Dir. Emeritus of THE CONCLAVE.
