Will CLEVELAND be getting a new Sports station? D & E COMMUNICATIONS OF OHIO is selling Gospel daytimer WABQ-A/CLEVELAND to CRAIG KARMAZIN's GOOD KARMA BROADCASTING for $2.5 million cash, and KARMAZIN's company is known for owning Sports outlets in MILWAUKEE, MADISON, and WEST PALM BEACH.
Now, could WABQ flip to Sports and pick up the ESPN RADIO affiliation for CLEVELAND? The AKRON BEACON-JOURNAL reports that ESPN is exiting its present affiliate, SALEM Talk WKNR-A, and may be ticketed for a new affiliate in the market which will carry the network uninterrupted by local programming.
