345,000 people attended the EDM-fest, the ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL, held this past weekend at the LAS VEGAS Motor Speedway. USA TODAY notes the "festivities followed the EDMbiz conference at The Cosmopolitan and two earlier festivals in NEW YORK and CHICAGO. Since EDC's first installment in LOS ANGELES 17 years ago before a crowd of just 4,000, INSOMNIAC has hosted more than 250 electronic dance music events for more than 2.5 million people."
For the first time ever, the sold-out crowd was able to tie the knot at the festival’s own wedding chapel. Fans were able to get married, renew their vows and celebrate friendships with non-legal commitment ceremonies in the heart of this year’s EDC through a partnership with VIVA LAS VEGAS WEDDING CHAPEL.
This year’s Kinetic Field stage featured a 100-foot tall owl with animated wings surrounded by towering mushrooms and whimsical daisies. Promoter INSOMNIAC also provided a fireworks display and various productions at the additional six stages.
Night two of the ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL had with another sold-out crowd. The festivities featured more than 75 dance music acts across seven stages from dusk until dawn.
The third and final night of the carnival came to a safe and successful close with a sold-out crowd gathering under the electric sky for the three-day event.
