TuneIn Opens NYC Office, Expands Sales Staff

TUNEIN has a number of things happening this week at the webcaster. The company has surpassed one billion listening hours between JANUARY and APRIL of 2013. They also launched TUNEIN Amplifier, a free tool that provides all broadcasters who have stations on TUNEIN, visibility into their TUNEIN traffic and the ability to monitor growth of their station on the TuneIn platform.
Head of Advertising RICK COTTON notes, "It is an exciting time in this white-hot industry of targeted mobile advertising. We find that radio is an incredibly compelling sector for brands to reach their audiences and we are excited about working hand in hand with our broadcast partners to help their sales teams monotize this rapidly growing audience."
In addition, the company has opened a NEW YORK office, hiring sales teams across NEW YORK, CHICAGO, SAN FRANCISCO and LOS ANGELES. Recently, TUNEIN hired more people with strong radio backgrounds, including JON LATZER as Dir./Strategic Sales, SCOTT ELBERG as Audio Sales Manager/East and LEON CLARK as Audio Sales Manager/West.
