Rocker DAVE MUSTAINE, founder of MEGADETH, announced today that their JULY 16th GIGANTOUR appearance at OKLAHOMA CITY's ZOO AMPHITHEATRE will be a benefit to help those affected by the deadly tornadoes that ripped through the heart of OKLAHOMA in MAY. MEGADETH will donate their proceeds from this GIGANTOUR festival date to the REGIONAL FOOD BANK of OKLAHOMA.
"Many amazing bands have come forward to aid OKLAHOMAN's since the MAY tornadoes came and tore apart their homes and lives," said MUSTAINE. "Now it’s time for Heavy Metal to give to this community."
The concert on TUESDAY, JULY 16th is not the only effort to benefit disaster victims while MUSTAINE and the tour visit OKLAHOMA. On MONDAY, JULY 15th the ASA Hall of Fame Complex will host an All-Star softball game featuring MEGADETH and other GIGANTOUR band members, plus local celebrities and more to be announced; 100% of the net proceeds will also benefit the REGIONAL FOOD BANK of OKLAHOMA.
The ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in OKLAHOMA CITY, OK and has generously donated the field for the fun, entertaining event. Patrons are asked to make a minimum $5 donation to come see some heavy metal and local celebrities have fun on the softball field.
