NPR's 'Here And Now' Adds An Hour
July 2, 2013 at 4:05 AM (PT)
As previously reported at ALL ACCESS (NET NEWS 3/29), MONDAY was the day that NPR and BOSTON UNIVERSITY noncommercial WBUR/BOSTON expanded midday news-talk show HERE AND NOW to two hours.
The expansion replaces TALK OF THE NATION, which has ended its 21-year run. ROBIN YOUNG has been joined by new co-host JEREMY HOBSON on HERE AND NOW.
“Through this partnership with WBUR, we’re creating what will very quickly become the next two hours of must-hear radio for millions of listeners,” said NPR CEO GARY E. KNELL. “This show represents an entirely new way of working across public radio to produce the best news content possible and reflect a broad range of American interests.”
