FCC Nixes EMF L.A. Translator Application
July 2, 2013 at 11:32 AM (PT)
The FCC has dismissed EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION's application for a new FM translator in LOS ANGELES.
EMF filed over 800 translator applications in Auction 83, including proposals at LOS ANGELES and QUARTZ HILL, CA in the LOS ANGELES market. The LOS ANGELES application was dismissed because it failed the test of not precluding a possible future LPFM opportunity, and the Commission declined to allow EMF to amend its application to cure the problem.
