OREGON PUBLIC BROADCASTING is adding a new local weekly magazine-style show on the arts this FALL. OPB reporter APRIL BAER will produce and host the show, which is being funded in part by a grant from the PAUL G. ALLEN FAMILY FOUNDATION plus support from the SPIRIT MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY FUND and the JACKSON FOUNDATION.
"It is an amazing time to be involved in arts reporting, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it,” said BAER. “I've always loved the way people here make creativity a daily practice. I’m looking forward to drilling down on arts issues, and facilitating wider discussions about the creative community."
“As a statewide media organization, we have always had a deep commitment to helping our audience discover the talent and variety of work that distinguishes art and culture in this region,” said SVP/Chief Content Officer MORGAN HOLM. “We couldn’t be more excited to see APRIL bring her considerable skills and energy to this dynamic new program.”
