AFR's JJ Jasper Forced To Make Emergency Landing

AMERICAN FAMILY RADIO NETWORK Morning show co-host JJ JASPER got quite a surprise SUNDAY night when the engine in the CESSNA plane he was piloting suddenly went silent. No power, no restart, no airport.
Thinking quick from the pilot's seat, he began to survey his options, and tells ALL ACCESS that the best solution he could find was four-lane Highway 45.
"Along with being an on-air radio personality, I’m a pilot and love all things aviation," explains JASPER. "Yesterday evening I was flying just for fun with my neighbor and friend. As we were flying along the engine suddenly quit! I tried to restart the airplane and went through the checklist to no avail. I then proceeded to look for a suitable place to make an emergency landing all the while praying. I landed on a four-lane highway going with the traffic. The tricky part was trying not to land on any cars. Thankfully we landed safely, no one was injured and the airplane was not damaged. Some have mentioned how lucky we are but it’s obvious to us that the Lord gets the credit. Thank you Jesus! He was watching over us. Today I’m very grateful to be alive!"
