BRS Media Gets Closer To Offering .Radio Domains

BRS MEDIA has announced that its New gTLD (New generic Top-Level Domain) Application to operate the .RADIO top level domain registry has passed the INTERNET CORPORATION FOR ASSIGNED NAMES AND NUMBERS (ICANN) Initial Evaluation. BRS MEDIA announced its intent to secure, market and manage the ".RADIO" generic top-level domain (gTLD) over four years ago, at the 2009 NAB SHOW.

On BRS MEDIA's website, the company explains, ".Radio.am & .Radio.fm will provide the Radio, Multimedia, Social Media and Streaming Industries with a professional, reliable, secure and all-inclusive radio based global domain. The Radio Global Domain Extensions are designed for Bootstrap Start-Ups, Small Office/Home Offices (SOHO) Entrepreneurs, Social Media Ventures, Streaming Enterprises and Traditional Broadcasters, while at the same time encouraging innovation and openness in the RADIO global domain space."
