On MONDAY (7/8) CCM+E Top 40 WRVW (107.5 THE RIVER)/NASHVILLE hosted its STAR PARTY at the HARD ROCK CAFE in downtown NASHVILLE, a benefit show featuring ATLANTIC recording artist ED SHEERAN.
All of the proceeds from the night went to MUSICIANS ON CALL (MOC), an organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. The event raised over $22,500 for the NASHVILLE branch of MOC, which is more than enough to fund one of its 11 weekly "BEDSIDE PERFORMANCE" programs for a full year.
SHEERAN received an overwhelming ovation from the sold-out crowd for his solo-acoustic set which included hits "The A Team" and "Lego House," while WRVW APD JOHN MAYER received a special shout out from SHEERAN just before he performed "Kiss Me," a song MAYER had earlier said was played at his wedding. Watch the clip here. Also, if you'd like to hear SHEERAN's cool cover of BRITNEY SPEARS' "Hit Me Baby (One More Time)," you'll find it here.
Through benefit concerts, live and online auctions featuring concert experiences and memorabilia from THE BLACK KEYS, ERIC CHURCH, KELLY CLARKSON, DARIUS RUCKER, GENE SIMMONS, SHEERAN, CARRIE UNDERWOOD, KEITH URBAN and more, MOC NASHVILLE has received over $65,000 in recent weeks to go towards programs in middle TENNESSEE.
