Ron Resnick Succumbs To Kidney Failure

ALL ACCESS is saddened to report on the passing of music industry veteran RON RESNICK, due to kidney failure, at the age of 71. The son of the legendary music promotion man, JUGGY GAYLES, RON’s first foray into the record business was doing promotion for ADAM DISTRIBUTORS, which handled distribution for the ROULETTE label.
RESNICK segued into the talent agency business, starting with GAC which eventually became ICM, where he worked such artists as THE ROLLING STONES, THE BEATLES, THE RONETTES, THE CLANCY BROS. and many more. In 1965, he moved over to PREMIERE TALENT, then became part of the team that launched CAPITOL BOOKING AGENCY, whose roster included MILES DAVIS, THE RONETTES, THE TOYS and THE KINGSMEN.
After a few years out of the business, RESNICK took a SAN FRANCISCO local promo spot for POLYGRAM. He would eventually do promotion for ROULETTE and for PYRAMID RECORDS, before going independent.
RESNICK is survived by his wife, JENNIFER PHELPS, and his children, JOSH JOHNSON, JAKE RESNICK, SARA GRACE RESNICK, JAMES RESNICK and MATTHEW RESNICK.
