The FCC has proposed an $8,000 fine against FELLOWSHIPWORLD, INC. for failing to operate noncommercial WFWO/MEDINA, NY in accordance with its authorization.
The FCC alleges that the station's transmitter was located in BUFFALO, 36 miles from the authorized site. The Commission says that the station's President JOHN YOUNG told them that the station had been shut down at its regular site to remove trees around the antenna and that the station was operating a 1-watt low-power FM transmitter at the BUFFALO site. After being told by the Commission to cease the low power operation and being issued a Notice of Unlicensed Operation, the station was heard once again from the BUFFALO site. A Silent STA request was granted on APRIL 10th.
