BASIN MEDIACTIVE, LLC is swapping the construction permit for a new FM at MALIN, OR to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for FM translator K280BW/KLAMATH FALLS, OR plus $125,000.
In other filings with the FCC, WENDOLYNN TELLEZ is selling FM translator K222CD/SHERMAN, TX to IGLESIA CRISTIANA EBENEZER for $50,000.
FMX BROADCASTING is selling FM translators W242AB and W235BR/ITHACA, NY to ROI BROADCASTING, INC. for $5,000 each. W242AB will rebroadcast the HD-2 channel of Top 40 WFIZ.
And WESTBURG BROADCASTING MONTGOMERY, LLC has applied for a Silent STA for WALQ-A/CARRVILLE, AL "because the current economic client has made it difficult for WESTBURG BROADCASTING to keep WALQ on the air." WESTBURG assumed operations after it foreclosed on the station, but, it says, "the current economic climate combined with the less than successful operation of the station by the prior licensee has left WESTBURG BROADCASTING with no choice but to take the station off the air."
Also, in CANADA, the CRTC has approved the acquisition by THE BANFF CENTRE of low-power tourist information statins CFPE (English-language) and CFPF (French-language)/BANFF, AB from the FRIENDS OF BANFF NATIONAL PARK FELLOWSHIP for an undisclosed price.
