LARRY WILSON's L&L BROADCASTING has purchased Urban Inspirational WSSJ/RINCON-SAVANNAH, GA from TAMA RADIO LICENSES OF SAVANNAH, GA, INC. receiver SCOTT SAVAGE for $1.55 million. The deal has yet to appear in the FCC database. WILSON said, “WSSJ is an exciting addition to our cluster in SAVANNAH and will be an excellent complement to our existing brands. The more we experience the vibrant business community and quality of life existing in SAVANNAH and HILTON HEAD, the more excited we are to operate our Live and Local brand of radio serving these two markets.”
In addition, the deal by which L&L BROADCASTING is buying YMF MEDIA's six-station cluster in JACKSON, MS -- Urban AC WKXI, Urban WJMI, Sports WRKS, Talk WJNT-A (with an FM booster), Gospel WOAD-A and Oldies WJQS-A -- is priced at $9.4 million plus an LMA before closing, according to the paperwork filed with the FCC.
In other filings with the FCC, LAKE MICHIGAN BROADCASTING, INC. is selling Silent WMTE-F/MANISTEE, MI to DEL REYNOLDS for $1,000.
MESA BROADCASTING INC. is selling FM translator K249BX/EAST SALT CREEK, CO to KBDX L.L.C. for $12,500.
CALVARY CHAPEL OF TWIN FALLS, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for FM translator K217EL/BORREGO SPRINGS, CA while it applies to change frequencies.
And E-STRING WIRELESS, LTD. has closed on the sale of the construction permit for FM translator K229CH/LAWTON, OK to PERRY BROADCASTING OF LAWTON, INC. for $35,000. The translator will rebroadcast Urban AC KKRX-A (THE TOUCH 1050)/LAWTON, OK.
