The WASHINGTON POST is reporting that a DEMOCRATIC PARTY-related organization devoted to supporting organizations that promote a liberal agenda is negotiating what the paper calls a "major investment" in AIR AMERICA RADIO.
The DEMOCRACY ALLIANCE, which has been investing over $50 million in the last nine months to liberal organizations like MEDIA MATTERS FOR AMERICA and the CENTER FOR AMERICAN PROGRESS, requires donees to keep the identity of the donors secret, although billionaire GEORGE SOROS, software mogul TIM GILL, and insurance executive PETER LEWIS are among the known founding donors and biggest contributors and several other donors have disclosed their participation.
The story echoes FEBRUARY reports at RADIO EQUALIZER and story at ALL ACCESS that DEMOCRACY ALLIANCE was planning an $8 million infusion for the radio network, reports the network neither confirmed nor denied at the time.
