CMB Announces 2013 Award Finalists

CHRISTIAN MUSIC BROADCASTERS (CMB) have announced the lists of nominees for their annual awards to be presented at the MOMENTUM conference in ORLANDO on SEPTEMBER 4th-7th.
The RICH MULLINS ARTIST IMPACT AWARD is presented to an artist or group to recognize their long-time contributions to the music and ministry of Christian Radio. The finalists for 2013 are AMY GRANT, MERCYME, MICHAEL W. SMITH, PHILLIPS CRAIG & DEAN and POINT OF GRACE.
The ROB GREGORY COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD is presented to a Christian broadcaster, radio station or associated professional who, during the past year, has shown outstanding effort in community service. The finalists for 2013 are; BETH BACALL from WFSH/ATLANTA, DAN BAUGHMAN from WCVO/COLUMBUS, KCBI/DALLAS, WAWZ/ZAREPHATH NJ and WCIE/TAMPA-ATLANTA-SARASOTA.
The SCOTT CAMPBELL INDUSTRY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD is presented to a Christian Broadcaster or associated professional for outstanding and long-term contributions to the growth of Christian Music Radio. The 2013 finalists are; BARRY ARMSTRONG from POSITIVE ALTERNATIVE RADIO, JIM CAMPBELL from RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, MIKE NOVAK from KLOVE/AIR1, FRANK REED from KLTY/DALLAS and DR. PAUL VIRTS from NORTHWESTERN MEDIA.
CMB Executive Director/CHRIS LEMKE explains, “After reviewing all of the CMB Award nominations, the CMB Awards committee is pleased to announce the five finalists for each award. The CMB Gold Members have the task of voting for these awards. The tabulation will be done by our friends at TROY RESEARCH. CMB will announce the winners during the CMB Networking Dinner on Wednesday, September 4 at 5:30pm."
