Report: Torey Malatia Resigns From WBEZ/Chicago Public Media

CHICAGO media reporter ROBERT FEDER is reporting that CHICAGO PUBLIC MEDIA noncommercial News-Talk WBEZ/CHICAGO President/CEO TOREY MALATIA has resigned after 20 years with the company.
FEDER reports that MALATIA, who was named VP of Programming at WBEZ in 1993 and was upped to President/GM in 1996, finalized his departure with the board of directors this morning. He also reports that COO ALISON SCHOLLY is expected to serve as interim CEO while a permanent successor to MALATIA is sought.
