Katy Perry Announces New Album Details

Can You See Me Now?

After an absence deemed too long by her fans, CAPITOL RECORDS artist KATY PERRY revealed this week that her latest studio album is right around the corner, meaning new music will be coming your way before you know it.  

Commuters around LOS ANGELES may have caught sight of PERRY'S promotional vehicle announcing the release of her album as it traveled the area on MONDAY (8/29).  It would have been hard to miss: a shiny, gold painted semi, with the words "KATY PERRY - PRISM - 10-22-13" printed on all sides.  From her TWITTER account she tweeted, "Don't worry, LOS ANGELES is just the first stop on the map.  Find the #PRISM semi, take a picture and I'll RT you."

PRISM producers include MAX MARTIN, GREG WELLS, DR. LUKE, DIPLO and BONNIE MCKEE.  No word yet on a first single.  

In other KATY news, the JULY VOGUE cover girl (also making her debut appearance on ELLE UK in SEPTEMBER) will be performing on day one of this year's sold-out iHEARTRADIO FESTIVAL in LAS VEGAS on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20.
