REPUBLIC NASHVILLE’s MARTINA MCBRIDE and her volunteer group "TEAM MARTINA" (NET NEWS 7/24) has teamed with CROWDWISE to raise $20,000 for a new playground in ATLANTA, CHASTAIN PARK CONSERVANCY PLAYGROUND.
"Team Martina is committed to making the world a better place through volunteering and connecting with others," said MARTINA. "It's a real community, and we are excited about growing it and having more and more people take part. This fundraiser goes to help kids in Atlanta have a safe and beautiful place to play, which is such an important part of childhood. When I imagine the fun and memories this park will make for so many children and their families it's a great feeling."
The first 50 fans to visit the "TEAM MARTINA: SOUND CHECK FOR KIDS" page and donate at least $200 will be invited to an exclusive party at MARTINA's sound check prior to her concert at the park on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th. Additionally, anyone who donates $15 will have a chance to win MARTINA's personal copy of PAT BENATAR's memoir and donors of $25 will be entered to win the dress that MCBRIDE wore at the 2013 KENTUCKY DERBY.
