WEST VIRGINA RADIO CORP./CHARLESTON, WV Dir./Promotions MATTHEW PAULEY is leaving the cluster for a position outside of radio. His final day with the group will be TODAY (9/20).
The four-station group includes Country WKWS (THE WOLF), News/Talk/Sports WCHS, Top 40 WRVZ and AC WVAF.
PAULEY posted his future plans on FACEBOOK, saying he’ll be pursuing a new path, “Working full time with BOONE COUNTY PUBLIC AUTHORITY as an EMT and doing public relations events.”
PAULEY told ALL ACCESS he has been undergoing EMT training since JANUARY in preparation for this move. He joined the cluster seven years ago and handled a variety of positions during that time. In addition to his work in promotions, PAULEY most recently did afternoon traffic and tracked overnights for THE WOLF.
No word on his successor as yet; in the interim, PDs from each of the stations will oversee promotions on their respective stations.
Congratulate PAULEY here.
