Former Congressman and host at BCA Sports XEPRS-A (THE MIGHTY 1090)/SAN DIEGO J.D. HAYWORTH is suing the radio station for his termination, reports U-T SAN DIEGO.
The suit claims that HAYWORTH was induced to take the job co-hosting mornings with LEE "HACKSAW" HAMILTON and relocate from ARIZONA in MARCH under a two-year guaranteed contract, then fired him in AUGUST "without giving him any opportunity to cure any alleged breach or violation."
HAYWORTH left CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KFYI-A/PHOENIX to run for Senate in 2010, losing in the primary to incumbent Sen. JOHN MCCAIN (R-AZ). He has also been heard filling in for syndicated hosts MICHAEL SAVAGE and MIKE HUCKABEE and, briefly, hosted middays at CUMULUS Talk KSFO-A/SAN FRANCISCO.
