The new midday show for ENTERCOM Sports KGMZ (95.7 THE GAME)/SAN FRANCISCO will team the station's evening host and OAKLAND A's pre-game and post-game host GUY HABERMAN with his friend since high school, the station's NFL analyst and former PHILADELPHIA EAGLES scout JOHN MIDDLEKAUFF for 10a-noon (PT), starting JANUARY 20th. HABERMAN and MIDDLEKAUFF replace SEAN O'CONNELL and MATT STEINMETZ, who were let go on THURSDAY (NET NEWS 1/9).
PD JASON BARRETT said, “Most new shows take months, even years, to develop on-air chemistry. GUY and JOHN, who have been friends since high school, will have real chemistry on day 1. We couldn’t be more excited about pairing two young, fresh, knowledgeable and exciting talents like GUY and JOHN on-air. BAY AREA sports fans will be in for two great hours of sports radio starting JANUARY 20th.”
HABERMAN said, “Who would have thought, back when JOHN and I were in high school, that we’d end up doing what we love most and doing it together on-air in the BAY AREA. JOHN is not only a brilliant football mind but one of the most knowledge sports fans I know. Our show will be energetic, informative and fun for all BAY AREA sports fans!”
MIDDLEKAUFF added, "As someone who has spent most of his life in NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of 95.7 THE GAME. I’m looking forward to sharing my insights and opinions with the audience and I’m especially thrilled to do it with one of my good friends, GUY HABERMAN, who I believe is one of the brightest young media stars in the BAY AREA.”
