Another Photo Agency Sues Radio Websites For Infringement

Another photo agency is suing radio station owners over use of copyrighted images on their websites without permission.
MAVRIX PHOTOGRAPHS filed suit in CALIFORNIA Central District Court on JANUARY 3rd against CLEAR CHANNEL and ten JOHN DOES over use of photos of KATY PERRY on AMERICAN TOP 40's website and is asking $150,000 per infringing use plus attorney's fees.
Similar suits were lodged against TOWNSQUARE MEDIA (for use of the pictures on Top 40 KISN (96.7 KISS FM)/BOZEMAN, MT's website) and CBS RADIO (for use of the pictures on the websites of Top 40 KMVQ (99.7 NOW FM)/SAN FRANCISCO and Hot AC KMXB (MIX 94.1)/LAS VEGAS) on DECEMBER 30th.
