CPB Funds Pennsylvania Local Journalism Center

The CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING has awarded a $1.5 million grant to create a new multimedia local journalism center in PENNSYLVANIA.
KEYSTONE CROSSROADS, the seventh LJC funded by CPB, will be a partnership between WHYY, INC. News-Talk WHYY-F/PHILADELPHIA, WQED MULTIMEDIA Classical WQED-F/PITTSBURGH, ESSENTIAL PUBLIC MEDIA News-Talk WESA/PITTSBURGH, PENN STATE UNIVERSITY News-Talk-Classical WPSU/STATE COLLEGE, PA, and WITF, INC. News-Talk-Classical WITF-F/HARRISBURG.
CPB President and CEO PAT HARRISON said, “Local Journalism Centers are really centers of collaboration comprising public media stations working together to report on local stories with significant impact. This kind of focused collaboration ensures in depth reporting on issues of importance and concern to Pennsylvanians and of interest to all Americans.”
