Columbia's Stephen Ferrera Loses Battle With Cancer

Condolences to the family and friends of STEPHEN FERRERA, SVP/A&R at COLUMBIA RECORDS, who passed away at his home in NEW YORK after a courageous fight with lung cancer on MONDAY, JANUARY 27th, with his wife and family by his side.
FERRERA graduated from THE NEW ENGLAND CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC and THE JULLIARD SCHOOL where he studied percussion. His love of music was a lifelong passion that he shared with his family, friends and colleagues and inspired an impressive career in the music industry. An accomplished musician, songwriter and producer, FERRERA started his career as head of A&R/producer at the CHRYSALIS GROUP’s UK record company THE ECHO LABEL. He went on to serve as SVP/A&R at RCA MUSIC GROUP, EVP/A&R at ISLAND DEF JAM and SVP/A&R at COLUMBIA RECORDS, where he spent the last 3 years of his career.
FERRERA is survived by his wife CAMILLA, his 14-year-old daughter, GRACE, and 10-year-old son, GUY.

A memorial service will be held on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 3rd at 4p. It will be held at the Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 West 76th Street at Amsterdam Avenue, NEW YORK, NY.
