Radio Host Tells Story Of Nearly Becoming Sochi Human Trafficking Victim

Former CBS RADIO Sports WFNZ-A/CHARLOTTE update anchor BRITTNEY CASON has written an essay for XOJANE.COM detailing her story of how an offer she received to cover the SOCHI WINTER OLYMPICS may have been an attempt to lure her into being a victim of human trafficking.
The essay tells how "(a) man claiming to be a talent acquisition agent booking correspondents to cover the Sochi Olympics approached me via my website back in SEPTEMBER" with the offer, and that the agent checked out and she was hired as a live emcee and beat reporter, going through the visa application process and arranging an itinerary.
When the agent "said he needed to expand his host team and asked if I could get some more of my girlfriends in the industry to come to SOCHI" and asked a friend of hers for her passport and social security number before requesting her reel, she got suspicious. And when she and her friend contacted the production company directly, they discovered that the company "didn’t even know who he was and informed us not to travel and got us in touch with their lawyers immediately to help us."
