More insight is being gleaned from JACOBS MEDIA's TECHSURVEY 10, which will be showcased at the WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT 2014, held at the HOLLYWOOD ROOSEVELT HOTEL on APRIL 2nd-4th. The latest revelation concerns the use of headphones and how that impacts listening habits.
"There’s a lot of talk in the industry about headphone usage and the ratings," JACOBS MEDIA Pres. FRED JACOBS noted. "Generation Z – primarily teens – spends more time listening to audio while wearing headphones or earbuds than any other age segment. All told, four in 10 (40%) say they’re wearing headphones half, most, or 100% of the time while listening to audio."
More details will be unveiled from TECHSURVEY 10, the largest radio survey of all major formats, including the results of their listeners’ habits concerning preferences in broadcast, digital and device. Pressing questions that will be answered include: What are listeners' likes/turn-offs? What makes them interact with radio on social media? What are the rising and falling platforms? And most importantly, what steps does radio need to take to keep a winning edge with listeners?
This will be one of many must-attend events at the WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT 2014, held at the HOLLYWOOD ROOSEVELT HOTEL on APRIL 2nd-4th.
