JON CHELESNIK’s SPORTSCASTERS TALENT AGENCY OF AMERICA and the NATIONAL SPORTSCASTERS AND SPORTSWRITERS ASSOCIATION will hold their 2014 One Day Ticket to Sportscasting Success seminar on JUNE 9th as part of the NSSA’s annual awards weekend in SALISBURY, NC. Among the guest speakers will be CBS SPORTS NFL play-by-play announcer, BROOKLYN NETS TV voice, and SIRIUSXM host IAN EAGLE and SPORTS ILLUSTRATED/MMQB.COM football columnist PETER KING.
Also scheduled to appear will be ESPN AUDIO’s SCOTT MASTELLER, AUBURN UNIVERSITY play-by-play voice ROD BRAMBLETT, and former WCCB-TV/CHARLOTTE News Director KEN WHITE, with more names to come.
CHELESNIK said, “One of the hardest parts of getting a sportscasting job that pays more than $20,000 a year is knowing the right people. At ODT14, you can start building relationships with people who will be able to help open doors for you that you might not be able to open on your own. Those who don’t take advantage of opportunities like this are left wondering ‘what if’ down the road when their career is stuck in the same place it is today.”
