On the heels of UNIVISION'S major "restructuring" (NET NEWS, 4/3 and 4/4), AMERICAN GENERAL MEDIA has secured four former UNIVISION personalities for Top 40/Rhythmic KAGM (POWER 106.7) and Regional Mexican KLVO (RADIO LOBO 97.7/94.7)/ALBUQUERQUE. DJ LOPEZ, JOHNNY V, MQ and JULIAN ROBLES have joined AGM’s ALBUQUERQUE-SANTA FE team.
Former KKSS PD/midday host DJ LOPEZ will now become KAGM-KDLW-KARS PD/KAGM midday host. Former KKSS Imaging Dir./afternoon host JOHNNY V and former KKSS MD/evening host MQ will both reprise those same roles at POWER 106.7 as well. These three new additions will join DOUBLE J and LB of DOUBLE J in the Morning at KAGM. And finally, former KJFA (LA JEFA 105.1)/ALBUQUERQUE personality JULIAN ROBLES joins KLVO.
"This is a big day at AGM, and I couldn't be happier for the opportunity to once again work with this incredibly talented, experienced, and passionate team of radio professionals," AGM/ALBUQUERQUE-SANTA FE Market Manager SUZY RUFAIL said. "Any one of them on their own would be a tremendous asset to the AGM family, but the addition of this entire group is exceptional. It also underscores the fact that while other media companies are nationalizing and becoming more dependent on syndicated talent and programming, AGM continues to be committed to staying live and local for the benefit of our audiences and client partners."
