PREMIERE NETWORKS/DIRECTV syndicated evening host ARTIE LANGE is in the hospital, and he tweeted to fans that he had been hospitalized due to diabetic shock. LANGE tweeted a picture of himself in the hospital with the text, "In the hospital outside of DETROIT after going into diabetic shock. Trying to get better. Sorry for missing gigs." LANGE was in town to do stand-up comedy this week.
LANGE's troubles with drugs and suicide attempts have been well-documented in his best-selling books "Too Fat to Fish" and "Crash and Burn" and during his stint as a sidekick on HOWARD STERN's SIRIUSXM show.
