Regional Murrow Awards Winners Announced

The RADIO TELEVISION DIGITAL NEWS ASSOCIATION has announced the Regional EDWARD R. MURROW AWARD winners for 2014.
Radio winners were led by UNIVERSITY OF ALABAMA AT BIRMINGHAM noncommercial News-Talk WBHM/BIRMINGHAM with eight awards in the Large Market category; in small markets, BOISE STATE UNIVERSITY noncommercial News-Talk KBSX/BOISE, SOUTH DAKOTA PUBLIC RADIO, MARFA PUBLIC RADIO noncommercial News-Talk KRTS/MARFA, TX, MARSHFIELD BROADCASTING CO. AC-Full Service WATD-F/MARSHFIELD, MA, and WITF, INC. noncommercial Classical-News-Talk WITF/HARRISBURG, PA won six MURROW Awards each.
The regional winners automatically advance to the national competition, which will be judged in MAY and presented in a NEW YORK ceremony on OCTOBER 6th.
Chairman CHRIS CARL said, "RTDNA is proud to be able to honor the best of local broadcast and digital journalism with these prestigious awards while honoring the legacy of EDWARD R. MURROW. I would like to personally congratulate all the regional winners and wish them luck as they move on to the national competition."
