FCC Denies Challenge To KAHM Move, Fines Kentucky Pirate

The FCC has denied a Petition for Reconsideration filed by KEMP COMMUNICATIONS, INC. against the grant of a channel change for SOUTHWEST FM BROADCASTING, INC. Beautiful Music KAHM/PRESCOTT (moving to SPRING VALLEY), AZ.  

The channel change for KAHM, which moves the station closer to PHOENIX, was accompanied by an order for KEMP's Silent KVGG/SALOME, AZ to change channels.  KEMP's objection claimed that SPRING VALLEY is not a community for allotment purposes and the move would cause a loss of third or fourth reception services to 3.367 persons.

The Commission also fined JOSE ALEJANDRO AGUILAR for running a pirate FM station at 99.5 and 87.9 FM in LOUISVILLE.
