Nas To Headline This Years 2014 Essence Festival

Legendary Hip-Hop artist and musical innovator NAS will headline the Kick off for the 20th Anniversary ESSENCE FESTIVAL weekend NOW PLAYING concert, reports a press release.

The show will also feature TREY SONGZ along with R & B songstresses K. MICHELLE and JAMINE SULLIVAN.  More artists will be announced in the coming weeks.  The ANNIVERSARY ESSENCE FESTIVAL weekend is July 3rd through the 6th in NEW ORLEANS.  The concert will take place THURSDAY JULY 3rd at the LOUISIANA SUPERDOME.

ESSENCE President MICHELLE EBANKS said, "ESSENSE is excited to welcome hip-hop legend and musical prodigy NAS to kick off our 20th Anniversary celebration, especially as he commemorates his own impressive 20 year milestone.  The ESSENSE FESTIVAL promises 20 stages of programming to honor our 20th anniversary with more than 70 artists performing across our music stages.  The addition of NAS, TREY SONGZ, K. MICHELLE, and JAZMINE SULLIVAN for the ESSENCE NOW PLAYING concert is an incredible lead-in to Festival weekend and rounds out our entertainment experience not to be missed."
