A couple is suing SIMA BIRACH JR., BIRACH BROADCASTING CORP., and BIRACH HOLDINGS CORP., claiming they invested $950,000 in what they thought was 25% of Sports WCAR-A (NBC SPORTS RADIO 1090)/DETROIT, only to be told they didn't own anything.
The DETROIT NEWS reports that in the suit, filed in OAKLAND COUNTY (MI) Circuit Court, DRAGO and JADRANKA MIHAJLOVSKI and their son ZIVE MIHAJLOVSKI allege they put $500,000 into the station for a 10% interest on AUGUST 12, 2012, and added $450,000 for another 15% on OCTOBER 9, 2012, and were promised two $50,000/year lifetime jobs by SIMA BIRACH JR. Attorney BARRY KELLER told the NEWS, "After a couple paydays, the checks stopped. When they started asking questions they were told they didn’t own anything and they weren’t getting their investment back.”
SIMA BIRACH SR. told the NEWS that his son leases the station from him for one dollar per year and only has the right to sell advertising on the station, adding that SIMA JR. has "been involved with some shysters before. He’s 37 years old. What am I going to do?”
