JONES' ED SCHULTZ is on the warpath against one of his own affiliates, as he takes the opportunity on WEDNESDAY to rip CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WSAI-A/CINCINNATI for technical lapses and lack of marketing.
OHIO MEDIA WATCH monitored SCHULTZ' rant and reports that he said "you can't develop revenue and ratings with dead air, double programming, programming playing on top of each other," adding that the station has not been marketed properly and he "hadn't been asked to cut liners for 9 months."
CLEAR CHANNEL CINCINNATI AM Operations Manager DARRYL PARKS responded by noting that "the rules of a talk show are: #1 It's about ratings and revenue. #2 Never let the facts get in the way of a good talk show. Glad to hear ED is finally following my directions!"
