Americana Music Association Announces 2014 Award Nominees

The AMERICANA MUSIC ASSOCIATION announced the nominees for the 2014 AMERICANA HONORS & AWARDS ceremony TODAY, MAY 12th. The ceremony was broadcast live from the SIRIUSXM MUSIC CITY THEATRE in downtown NASHVILLE.
The special one-hour program was hosted by ELIZABETH COOK with Americana stalwarts JIM LAUDERDALE (Honors & Awards host) and BUDDY MILLER (Honors & Awards band leader), and featured performances MILLER, LAUDERDALE, HURRAY FOR THE RIFF RAFF and PARKER MILLSAP.
The winners of each category will be announced during the AMERICANA HONORS AND AWARDS show on SEPTEMBER 17th at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE. This event is of part of the larger AMERICANA MUSIC FESTIVAL AND CONFERENCE, which runs from SEPTEMBER 17th-21st.
Each year, the AMA also honors distinguished members of the music community with six member-voted annual awards and with Lifetime Achievement Awards, which will be announced leading up to the event.
