PATRICK BROADCASTING LP Talk KSEV-A/HOUSTON and DALLAS BROADCASTING LLC Business News-Talk KVCE-A/DALLAS host and part-owner DAN PATRICK has won his run-off election for the Republican nomination for Lieutenant Governor of TEXAS.
PATRICK, supported by TEXAS Tea Party interests, handily defeated three-term incumbent DAVID DEWHURST after a campaign that included personal attacks and the release by a DEWHURST supporter and former candidate, Land Commissioner JERRY PATTERSON, of PATRICK's medical records showing treatment for depression in 1982-83.
PATRICK will face Democratic candidate State Sen. LETICIA VAN DE PUTTE (D-SAN ANTONIO) in the general election in NOVEMBER.
