KANSAS Secretary of State KRIS KOBACH's SUNDAY night show on CUMULUS Talk KCMO-A/KANSAS CITY is coming off the air through at least the AUGUST primary now that he has a challenger for the Republican nomination for his post, reports the TOPEKA CAPITAL-JOURNAL.
In his 2010 campaign, KOBACH obtained waivers of the equal time rule from his primary opponents, but his current opponent, SCOTT MORGAN, did not sign a waiver, saying, "I've never heard a convincing argument as to why I should sign it. It's the nature of campaigns -- to compete." MORGAN also criticized KOBACH for finding time to have outside employment, including his law practice as well as the radio show.
