CMT Awards Show Strong Growth Over Last Year

Last Night’s (6/4) 13th ANNUAL COUNTRY MUSIC TELEVISION (CMT) AWARDS showed a 10% increase in growth across all screens compared to the 2013 awards, with three million total viewers, according to CMT. Those figures made 2014’s CMT Awards the second-most watched telecast in the show’s history.
CMT also says the show performed well among younger viewers and woman, delivering a 1.77 rating with 18-34-year old females, an increase of 7% from last year. Persons 18-34 increased 14% over 2013’s telecast.
Additionally, CMT says last night’s telecast was the #1 ranked program on NIELSEN’s Daily Top 5 ranking YESTERDAY, generating more than 40 million TWITTER impressions. CMT owned the conversation across TWITTER and FACEBOOK, tracking 66 nationally trending topics throughout the live show.
The 2014 CMT MUSIC AWARDS will re-air on THURSDAY, JUNE 5th at 6:00p (CT); SATURDAY, JUNE 7th at 1:00p (CT); SUNDAY JUNE 8th at 7:00a, 3:00p. and 9:00p.
